Hand-painted Wooden Umbrella Coaster Set — six painted coasters in an umbrella stand. Made by hand from sheesham (rosewood) and coloured lac and painted by hand, in the Sillanwali Handicrafts workshop in Sillanwali, Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. It costs PKR 1,450. It is ready to ship and delivered within 3 to 4 days anywhere in Pakistan, paid in cash on delivery.
Six round coasters that stand on edge around a central turned post, so the set opens out like a small umbrella instead of stacking flat in a pile. Each coaster is painted by hand in amber and yellow lac with the workshop landscape motif — red blossom trees over a low horizon, worked with a fine brush while the disc is held in the hand. The post is turned on the khraad and finished with a small finial at the top, and the whole thing stands on a turned sheesham base. The coasters slot in around it and lift out one at a time. That shape is the reason to own it. A stack of six coasters disappears into a drawer and never reappears; an umbrella stand sits out on the table looking like an object, and the coasters are in your hand as you pour rather than being hunted for. Made to order in Sillanwali, Sargodha, and painted individually, so no two sets carry exactly the same trees and no two coasters in a set are identical either. Dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills off straight away rather than letting them sit; keep water, polish sprays and chemical cleaners off the lac, and keep the set out of direct sunlight so the colours stay true.
Every piece is made by hand, so the wood grain, carving and colour vary a little from the photo. That variation is normal and is what makes each one its own.

Care
- Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not soak, do not put in a dishwasher, and do not leave standing in water.
- Keep painted and lacquered surfaces out of direct sun and away from heat so the colours stay true.
- A light food-safe mineral oil once or twice a year keeps plain serving pieces from drying out.
- Small variations in grain, carving depth and colour are normal — each piece is finished by hand in Sillanwali.
