Twelve inch sheesham wooden hot pot with a lifted lid showing brass inlay scrollwork and a turned knob

Wooden Hot Pot 12 Inch — Brass Inlay (2 Designs)

12 inch sheesham hot pot with fine brass inlay, in two designs

PKR 2,300PKR 3,050Workshop rate · 25% offMade to order · paid in advance

A 12 inch wooden hot pot turned from solid sheesham (rosewood) on the khraad lathe and finished with fine brass inlay traced around the lid and the body. The heavy lid sits flush with a turned knob on top, so roti stays soft and warm right through the meal without a plastic casserole on the table. Two designs are made at this size — a deep-grain sheesham body with a scrolled brass vine, and a lighter figured body with a wider inlay band — and both cost the same. Tell us which design you would like when you order; if you do not say, we send whichever is best in the workshop that week.

Made to order — ready to ship in about 7 working days.

Every piece is made by hand, so the wood grain, carving and colour vary a little from the photo. That variation is normal and is what makes each one its own.

Care

  • Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not soak, do not put in a dishwasher, and do not leave standing in water.
  • Keep the piece out of direct sunlight and standing heat so the wood does not dry or fade.
  • A light food-safe mineral oil once or twice a year keeps plain serving pieces from drying out.
  • Small variations in grain, carving depth and colour are normal — each piece is finished by hand in Sillanwali.
