Apple-Shaped Wooden Tea Coaster Set — six coasters and an apple-shaped holder. Made by hand from sheesham (rosewood) and coloured lac and painted by hand, in the Sillanwali Handicrafts workshop in Sillanwali, Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. It costs PKR 1,600. It is ready to ship and delivered within 3 to 4 days anywhere in Pakistan, paid in cash on delivery.
Six round coasters painted by hand in amber lac, stored inside a lidded holder turned to the shape of an apple, with a stalk and a carved leaf on the lid. The apple is turned on the khraad from a single piece and hollowed to take the stack, and it is the reason the set survives daily use: six loose coasters end up in a drawer within a week, and a stack with a lid on top stays on the table. The coasters and the apple carry the same landscape motif — a red blossom tree over a low horizon — painted with a fine brush on an amber lac ground, so the set reads as one object rather than as a holder and some discs. It sits out permanently on a coffee table or a dining table and does not need putting away, which is the practical argument for buying a coaster set with a holder at all. Made to order in Sillanwali, Sargodha, and painted individually, so no two sets carry the same trees. Dust with a soft dry cloth and wipe spills away rather than letting them stand; keep water, polish sprays and chemical cleaners off the lac, and keep the set out of direct sunlight so the amber stays true.
Every piece is made by hand, so the wood grain, carving and colour vary a little from the photo. That variation is normal and is what makes each one its own.

Care
- Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not soak, do not put in a dishwasher, and do not leave standing in water.
- Keep painted and lacquered surfaces out of direct sun and away from heat so the colours stay true.
- A light food-safe mineral oil once or twice a year keeps plain serving pieces from drying out.
- Small variations in grain, carving depth and colour are normal — each piece is finished by hand in Sillanwali.
