A turned wooden jar with a domed lid, painted by hand in the naqshi style. It is a display and dry-storage piece for a shelf or side table, not for anything damp. Each one is painted individually, so no two match exactly.

Made to order — ready to ship in about 10 working days.

Every piece is made by hand, so the wood grain, carving and colour vary a little from the photo. That variation is normal and is what makes each one its own.

Care

  • Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not soak, do not put in a dishwasher, and do not leave standing in water.
  • Keep painted and lacquered surfaces out of direct sun and away from heat so the colours stay true.
  • A light food-safe mineral oil once or twice a year keeps plain serving pieces from drying out.
  • Small variations in grain, carving depth and colour are normal — each piece is finished by hand in Sillanwali.
