Hand-Painted Wooden Landscape Jar set of 3 — three graduated jars painted with a landscape. Made by hand from sheesham (rosewood) and coloured lac and painted by hand, in the Sillanwali Handicrafts workshop in Sillanwali, Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. It measures 4–6 in tall. It costs PKR 4,000. It is ready to ship and delivered within 3 to 4 days anywhere in Pakistan, paid in cash on delivery.
Three lidded jars in graduated sizes, turned from sheesham and finished in amber lac, each one painted by hand with the workshop landscape motif — a red blossom tree and a dark pine over a low horizon. Four to six inches tall. The bodies are turned on the khraad and given their amber ground first, so the light comes up through the lac rather than sitting on it and the colour deepens where the wood is denser. The trees are then painted on individually with a fine brush. The lids are polished dark to set against the amber, each finished with a small turned finial, and every jar stands on its own turned foot rather than sitting flat. They are sold as a set of three because the painting only runs consistently across jars worked in the same session, and because graduated heights are what make them read as a group on a shelf or a mantel rather than as three odd jars. Small enough for sugar, saffron, cardamom or a ring; most people keep them for the look of them. Made to order in Sillanwali, Sargodha, and painted individually, so the trees fall differently on every set. Dust with a soft dry cloth, keep water and polish sprays off the lac, and keep them out of direct sunlight so the amber does not fade.
Every piece is made by hand, so the wood grain, carving and colour vary a little from the photo. That variation is normal and is what makes each one its own.

Care
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, chemical cleaners and polish sprays.
- Keep painted and lacquered surfaces out of direct sun and away from heat so the colours stay true.
- Small variations in grain, carving depth and colour are normal — each piece is finished by hand in Sillanwali.
