Hand-Carved Jewellery Box Set of 3 — Sheesham: three graduated carved sheesham boxes with brass clasps. Made by hand from sheesham (rosewood) and brass and carved by hand, in the Sillanwali Handicrafts workshop in Sillanwali, Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan. It measures about 10 × 6 in, 8 × 5 in and 6 × 4 in (large, medium, small). It costs PKR 10,500 for the whole set. It is ready to ship and delivered within 3 to 4 days anywhere in Pakistan, paid in cash on delivery.

A set of three hand-carved boxes in solid sheesham, in graduated sizes, each carved across the lid and all four sides in a running floral vine and closed with a small brass clasp. They are left in a natural polish with no stain and no lacquer, so what you see is the sheesham itself — the grain runs under the carving and shows through it. The carving is cut freehand with chisel and gouge, not pressed by machine. The carver works outward by eye, which is why the depth changes across a lid, why the vine never repeats exactly, and why the three boxes in a set read as one family rather than three copies. Carving all four sides as well as the lid is what takes the time here: a box carved only on top looks plain the moment it is picked up. The inside is left plain and smooth so nothing catches on a chain or a stone. The largest holds a full set — necklace, bangles and earrings together; the middle one takes everyday rings, studs and a watch on a dressing table; the smallest is for a single keepsake, a ring or a tasbeeh. Each box closes on its own clasp, so the three can be used in different rooms or given separately. Sizes, approximately: the large box about 10 × 6 inches, the medium about 8 × 5 inches, and the small about 6 × 4 inches, each roughly 3 to 4 inches deep. Because every box is cut and carved by hand, the measurements vary a little from set to set — tell us on the order if a size matters and we will measure the actual set before it ships. Three carved boxes in one set make it a wedding, nikkah, Eid or housewarming gift that does not need anything added to it. Made in Sillanwali, Sargodha, and carved individually, so the pattern and the grain differ from one box to the next. Dust with a soft dry cloth and a dry brush into the carving, keep water and polish sprays off the wood, and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Every piece is made by hand, so the wood grain, carving and colour vary a little from the photo. That variation is normal and is what makes each one its own.
